Get paid for the extra work you already did.

Ridgeline reads your project managers' email, finds extra work a GC directed that never became a change order, and puts the change notice in your PM's Outlook. Your PM checks it, adds a price, and hits Send.

For commercial electrical and specialty subcontractors. No new software. Never sends email on its own. Never makes up a price.

The problem

Extra work gets directed in email. Some of it never gets billed.

A superintendent says "go ahead" on a Tuesday. An RFI answer adds three data drops. Your crew works two Saturdays to recover someone else's delay. By the time anyone writes it up, the notice window has closed or nobody remembers it.

66%

of specialty subcontractors wrote off change order revenue in the past 12 months.

22 days

average from a signed T&M tag to a priced change order sent to the GC.

96 days

average wait for a subcontractor to get paid.

How it works

Ridgeline works in the background. Your PMs keep working in Outlook.

  1. 01

    Reads the mailboxes you choose

Only the PM and admin mailboxes you name. It reads them and prepares drafts. Nothing goes out unless a person clicks Send.

  2. 02

    Spots direction to do work

GC emails, RFI answers, revised drawings, schedule changes, T&M requests, and Procore and BuildingConnected notices.

  3. 03

    Checks your CO log

Matches each item to the job and your change orders, then counts down that job's notice window.

  4. 04

    Drafts the change notice

A finished draft lands in the PM's Outlook with the GC's own words quoted, every detail checked first.

  5. 05

Your PM sends it, or doesn't

They add the price and hit Send, or discard it. Ridgeline tracks what gets approved and paid.

Works with the software you already use

Ridgeline connects to your email and reads the spreadsheets and exports you already keep. Your PMs don't log into anything new.

Who decides what

Ridgeline finds it. Your PM decides what to bill.

Ridgeline handles

  • Reading the PM mailboxes you name
  • Spotting directed work, RFI answers and T&M requests
  • Checking each item against your CO log
  • Counting down each job's notice window
  • Drafting the change notice with the GC's own words
  • One short email each morning

Your PM decides

  • Whether the work is extra
  • The price. Ridgeline never makes one up
  • Whether to send the notice, and when
  • Every word that goes to the GC
  • Anything about entitlement. Ridgeline doesn't give legal advice

The 30-day Change Order Leak Audit

We go through 6 to 12 months of a few PMs' email and show you, job by job, the extra work you were directed to do that never became a change order, with the email that proves it. No IT project: your PM exports an email folder.

See what's included
$1,500
  • Every possible missed change order, with the exact email sentence
  • A 45-minute review with each PM
  • A one-page summary for the owner
  • If it finds less than $25,000 of PM-confirmed extra work, you get the $1,500 back (terms in your audit agreement)

Questions owners ask

Do my PMs have to learn new software?

No. Drafts appear in their Outlook Drafts folder and the summary arrives as one morning email. Setup includes about 30 minutes per PM.

Can Ridgeline send email to my GCs?

No. It reads the mailboxes you choose and prepares drafts. A person sends every message.

We already use Procore or a change order tool. Is this redundant?

Those tools track a change order once someone creates it. Ridgeline finds the ones nobody created, across every GC you work for, including the ones who use different software.

What if the audit doesn't find much?

If it finds less than $25,000 of extra work your PMs confirm is real, we refund the $1,500. You'll also know your change order process is tight, which is worth knowing.
